OUR PROJECTS
WOMEN :
CONCORD TRUST has been involving in Women Empowerment activities through its’ programmes. Trainings, Seminars, Advocacy and Lobby activities are being conducted against domestic violences, atrocities against women, unequal wages for women etc. To uplift women economically, CONCORD TRUST has been supplying Milch Animals (Cow), Sheep and Goats to the rural and tribal oppressed poor women. To instil and enhance the skills in girls and women we have conducted trainings on Tailoring, Type-writing, and Weaving
CHILDREN :
CONCORD TRUST has been showing special interest on child development as today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders of the nation. We relieve the children from agriculture bondedness and enrolled them in schools. Every year, CONCORD TRUST distributes books, note-books, school bags, dress materials, reference and writing materials etc. to the poor students specifically girl students.
WATER :
CONCORD TRUST involves in providing potable water facilities to the needy villages. This potable water facilities are not only quenching the thirst of people and addressing water starvation of the rural poor and tribal communities, but also enable people free from water borne diseases, paving way for girl children education and ensuring the health promotion of the people.
AGRICULTURE :
CONCORD TRUST has been promoting sustainable agriculture through imparting training on organic agriculture practices, irrigation management, land utilisation, post harvesting techniques etc. Besides, trainings on marketing of agriculture produces and value-added techniques has been conducted.
ENVIRONMENT AND BIO-DIVERSITY :
Training on inter-cropping and crop rotation to the small and marginal farmers has been conducted by CONCORD TRUST. To ensure environmental care and stability, CONCORD TRUST has been organising tree plantation activities among school children, youth, women and like-minded people. On the culmination of event’s, women eco-clubs and children eco-clubs has been organised.
HEALTH :
CONCORD TRUST is serious about the Health Development of Rural Poor Women, Tribals and Children. Special camps have been conducted to rural people and tribals for early detection of Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Cancer and Diabetes. Suspected persons to leprosy diseases, diabetes and tuberculosis have been sent to Government Hospitals for in-depth examinations and for regular care and treatment. HIV/AIDS awareness has been created to the youth of rural and tribal communities through camps, distribution of hand bills, poster campaign and video-shows.
VOLUNTEER PROMOTION :
CONCORD TRUST implements it’s projects through volunteer. These volunteers evolves from our trainings, impact of the projects and beneficiaries of the projects. Our volunteers are available on all times to respond the needs of the people. Till now, CONCORD TRUST has developed sixty-five volunteers in the target area and the number is likely to be increased.
